Description: Multipolar neuron located in the ventral cochlear nucleus with multiple long dendrites extending from the cell soma. Two subclasses (D and T) are recognzed based on their alignment with auditory nerve fibers. Both types have axon collaterals that terminate locally near the cell soma.
