Name: LP1 neuron
Description: Serotonergic neuron whose cell body is located in one of 2 (bilateral) clusters: in the larva these clusters occupy a mid-lateral position at the optic lobe margin and have axons that join a midline-crossing tract, in the adult they are located in the cortex of the lateral protocerebrum, anterior to the optic tract and project their axons centrally into the midbrain.
