Resource:Entrez Genomes

Name: Resource:Entrez Genomes
Description: The Genome database provides views for a variety of genomes, complete chromosomes, sequence maps with contigs, and integrated genetic and physical maps. The database is organized in six major organism groups: Archaea, Bacteria, Eukaryotes, Viruses, Viroids, and Plasmids and includes complete chromosomes, organelles and plasmids as well as draft genome assemblies. Genomes of over 1,200 organisms can be found in this database, representing both completely sequenced organisms and those for which sequencing is in progress.

Present on the page are also links to other prokaryotic and archaeal genome projects, as well as BLAST tools and access to the rest of the NCBI online resources.

Browse by organism groups Eukaryota, Prokaryota, Viruses, and Metagenomics.
