Resource:PubAnatomy

Name: Resource:PubAnatomy
Description:

PubAnatomy is an integrated exploration of biomedical literature and data. An anatomy viewer can be accessed and searches of PubMed literature are visualized as to the anatomical regions that they effect.

The understanding of molecular level data in the context of high level pathophysiological processes is still a major challenge. We believe that integrating rich background information together with interactive visualization of literature and data in their relevant biological context can greatly facilitate the interpretation of experiment results and hypothesis development. The current implementation of PubAnatomy takes advantage of the 25-micron voxel level mouse brain structure annotation generated by the Allen Brain Institute and integrates Allen Brain Atlas gene expression data, relationships between brain regions and diseases for more efficient exploration of Medline database and gene expression data. PubAnatomy is a Rich Internet Application developed in the Adobe Flex 3 platform. (You need to have flasher player v9.0 or above installed.)
