Name: Superior colliculus of WHS11
Description: Delineation of superior colliculus on Waxholm mouse brain atlas, as seen in T2* weighted volume. As seen in sagittal: At midline, superior colliculus appears significantly brighter than inferior colliculus. Off midline, difference is less pronounced but still evident. At midline, caudal to pineal gland; rostrally, bounded by cerebral cortex, ventrally by midbrain and caudally by inferior colliculus and periaqueductal grey
Is part of: Midbrain of WHS11
Super-category: Waxholm 2011 parcellation scheme region
Id: nlx_143777
