At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, … At Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our interdisciplinary teams of world-renowned scientists and humanitarians work together to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, HIV/AIDS and other diseases. Our researchers, including three Nobel laureates, bring a relentless pursuit and passion for health, knowledge and hope to their work and the world.

To accomplish this, the Hutchinson Center attracts some of the world's greatest minds. Together our researchers discover new ways to detect cancers earlier, when cure rates are highest; develop effective treatments with fewer side effects; and learn how to prevent cancers from growing in the first place.
The Hutchinson Center, together with its clinical and research partners, the University of Washington, Seattle Children's and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, comprise the Fred Hutchinson/University of Washington Cancer Consortium. The Consortium is among 40 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers nationwide. d comprehensive cancer centers nationwide.
